  • Support Avasant client engagements and work with Avasant clients to develop sourcing strategy and financial business cases for outsourcing vs. in-sourcing decisions
  • Development of RFP statement of work, financials, service levels, and terms & conditions
  • Performing risk analysis and due diligence on service provider qualifications
  • Executing sourcing transactions to help manage outsourcing relationships, transition planning, and transition support activities

Educational Requirements & Experience

4. Video Editor/ Digital Media Internship

Avasant, a Los Angeles based global management consulting firm, is looking for a young, friendly, visionary filmmaker with aspirations to shake people in their boots when they see the content this person creates. Someone with the technical and editing skills to craft together dynamic 1-3 minute marketing pieces. A film student or recent graduate would be ideal. Please be aware that we are seeking someone with the experience and equipment to truly tell our story in a professional manner. This individual will work with digital team on the creation and editing of videos for us on Avasant's website as well as our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube pages. This position is rooted in editing video content that captures our various events, activities and professional engagements. The intern will edit the footage to closely follow the theme/topic of each video and make edits under the close direction of the digital & marketing team. 

Responsibilities
  • Work with the digital team to brainstorm and storyboard creative concepts for videos, including promotional campaign videos
  • Publish videos to YouTube and other social media channels
  • Develop animated pieces for our website and social media channels
  • Organize digital assets and editing library - prepare drive and catalogue footage to ensure the best photos and videos are readily accessible, searchable, and always credited to the right photographer/videographer.
  • Support the delivery and clearances of all video content 
  • Create/update goals, timelines, and objectives for project 
Required Skills
  • At least an intermediate knowledge of video production and editing
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution in Digital Media, Video Production, or Computer Science, with a strong understanding of computers and multimedia applications
  • Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of video compression for interactive and online programs
  • An understanding of technical aspects of video and audio compression, including codec and/or playback settings and standards for a variety of platforms and devices
  • Strong personal interest in all things technology, video, social media, and multimedia design
  • Creative with the ability to come up with innovative concepts for videos to spread brand awareness 
  • Ability to use some of your own equipment and software
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills 
Requirements
Interns must be able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours a week, for a minimum of 2 months. The work will primarily be onsite at our main offices in El Segundo, with the strong potential for offsite work as well. This is an unpaid internship. Only proactive, hands-on, committed candidates will be considered. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, corporate environment
