Los Angeles-based company, Avasant has began its Ghana operations, its President and Managing Partner has told ghanabusinessnews.com.  Dr. Pradeep Mukherji who is in the country to work on a two-year World Bank sponsored project with the Ministry of Communications to develop a vibrant and more attractive Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) for Ghana said Avasant chose Ghana because the country has the quality of people to work with.

 

He said the quality of education is high and the atmosphere for business is good as “Ghanaians are friendly and hospitable.”

 

He also pointed to the fact that Ghana is peaceful and has been successful in democratic elections and handing over of power, citing the visit of President Obama in July as a testimony to the country’s stability.

 

Avasant which is ranked as the world’s top BPO advisory firm announced late September 2009 that it was setting up offices in Ghana.
